Sultan Idris University of Education (UPSI) was established in 1922 and was known as the first Teacher Training College of Malaya. It is known as one of the oldest universities in Malaysia. UPSI was later upgraded to a full university institution on 1 May, 1997, an upgrade from their previous college status. Their aim to provide exceptional leadership in the field of education continues until today and has produced quality graduates to act as future educators to students in the primary and secondary level.

Ministry Of Health, Jordan joins Bentham Open as Institutional Member

The first Ministry of Health in Jordan was established in 1950. The Ministry began its duties in 1951, the beginning of the health development boom in Jordan. The first accomplishment was the establishment of six departments in the districts headed by a physician and under the central administration of the Ministry. The Ministry of Health undertakes all health affairs in the Kingdom and its accredited hospitals include AL-Basheer Hospital, Zarqa Governmental Hospital, University of Jordan Hospital, Prince Hashem Military Hospital and Karak Governmental Hospital.

Prof. Dileep Sharma joins the Editorial Board of The Open Dentistry Journal

Prof. Dileep Sharma recently joined the Editorial Board of The Open Dentistry Journal. We warmly welcome him and look forward to his valuable contributions for the journal.

Dr. Dileep completed his Clinical Masters in Periodontology with high distinction and was awarded highly competitive and prestigious Commonwealth Funded scholarships to conduct his research project on Medication-induced osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) that culminated in a PhD from Griffith University, Australia (2016). Subsequently, his career is highlighted by prestigious peer-reviewed publications, multiple awards for scientific and academic achievement(s) and competitive research grant successes. He reviews grants for various research funding bodies across Australia and New Zealand. Dileep leads a research team working on the development of novel Zirconia Implant material, deemed to be the future of metal-free Implant Dentistry.

The Open Dentistry Journal is an Open Access online journal, which publishes research articles, reviews/mini-reviews, letters, case reports and guest edited single topic issues in all areas of dentistry and the oral cavity. The Open Dentistry Journal, a peer-reviewed journal, is an important and reliable source of current information on important recent developments in the field. The emphasis will be on publishing quality papers rapidly and freely available to researchers worldwide.
